Recylex, a European recycling specialist

Recylex is an integrated European player in industrial recycling.

The group's activities include the production and recycling of lead and plastic (recycling from automobile and industrial batteries), recycling zinc from particles resulting from electric steel plates, and the production of zinc oxides and special metals for the electronics industry.
All of the group's products are intended primarily for the building, automobile and electronics industries.
The group enjoys a unique knowledge base inherited from its industrial past, recent technology and assets, an effective and durable geographical network, and a diversified portfolio of loyal customers.

In 1881, the company Peñarroya entered into the world of metallurgy and mining. A symbol of the industrial revolution and technical progress, the French multinational marked the industrial history of the 20th century.
In 1998, the merger of the metallurgy and mining company Peñarroya with the non-ferrous metals division of Preussag led to the creation of Metaleurop. As mining extraction declined, Metaleurop took advantage of its expertise in metal transformation to specialize in recycling.
Today, Metaleurop is a key player in recycling in Europe and is now becoming Recyclex.

The number three lead producer in Europe, the Recyclex group is established primarily in France, Germany and Belgium today, including approximately ten production sites and employing more than 600 people.
